Again using tools from this tab, it is possible to install SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Data Tools, setup a failover cluster etc
Maintenance
Maintenance tab has the tools to upgrade SQL Server editions, repair a corrupted SQL Server instance, etc
Tools
Tools tab, database administrators will find System Configuration Checker software, execute a report which will discover all installed SQL Server products and features installed on each SQL Server instance.
Resources
Resources tab mainly covers documentation for SQL Server, provides links to online communities and SQL Server samples and downloads.
Advanced
Advanced tab, there is a tool enabling installers to complete a SQL Server instance setup based on a configuration file, advanced cluster options, etc
Options
Options tab, you can specify the SQL Server setup media file location and architecture based on processor type; x64 or x86
Check your system type 64-bit Operating System

SQL Server Installation Step by Step using Wizard

When you launch SQL Server Installation Center switch to Installation tab.
In the SQL Server installation option click on a new SQL Server 2019 stand-alone instance installation.
Goto Installation page and click new installation
In the first step, SQL Server data platform professional is required to provide a product key.
It is possible to select SQL Server Evaluation Edition & Developer Edition as free edition.
To continue with SQL Server installation, accept licence terms displayed on screen by marking the checkbox.
In Rules, setup wizard will check if any configuration prevents SQL Server installation.
This is a general check of operating system related tools and software that might affect SQL Server setup process.
If there is no conflict, the setup wizard will contine with next step.
Click on SQL Server Feature Installation & press next.
Feature Selection screen is the step where you will manage the abilities of your database instance.

Instance Features:
1. Database engine services
Includes the Database Engine, the core service for storing, processing and securing data. The Database Engine provides controlled access and rapid transaction processing and also provides rich support for sustaining high availability. The Database Engine also provides support for the utility control point in the SQL Server Utility. Only Database Engine Services and Analysis Services can be clustered.
  • Sql server replication:
Includes a set of replication objects for copying data and database objects from one database to one or more other databases.
  • Full text search:
Includes the Full-Text Search engine, for fast text search on content stored in SQL Server.
2. Analysis services
Includes Analysis Services and tools used to support online analytical processing (OLAP) and data mining. Only Database Engine Services and Analysis Services can be clustered.
3. Reporting services
Includes Reporting Services, a server-based application for creating, managing, and delivering reports in paper-oriented and interactive Web-based formats. Reporting Services cannot be clustered.

Shared features:
Some shared features are shared across all versions of SQL Server on a computer. Shared features for a major release are used only by multiple instances of the same version of SQL Server; other features are shared only across minor version instances.
1.Business Intelligence Development Studio.
Includes management and development tools:  Business Intelligence Development Studio
2.Client tools connectivity
Includes components for communication between clients and servers.
3.Integration servies
Includes the designer, runtime, and utilities that enable Integration Services to move, integrate, and transform data between data stores.
4.Client Tools Backwards Compatibility
5.Client tools SDK
Includes the software development kit containing resources for programmers.

Next step shows broad range of Installation rules.
Instance Configuration installation step, give a name to your SQL Server instance or choose to use default instance (MSSQLSERVER) as name.

Next step shows total disk space requirement for installing SQL Server.
In Server Configuration screen you can specify the Service Account and the Collation. In the Service Accounts tab, you need to specify the Service Account under which SQL Server Services should be running. Here you can also specify the Startup Type for each of the SQL Server Services.
Account Name:
All about the privileges that a User Account has.
The Local System account is a predefined local account that can start a service and provide the security context for that service. It is a powerful account that has full access to the computer, including the directory service when used for services running on domain controllers.
The Local Service account is a service that runs as the Local Service account accesses network resources as a null session; that is, it uses anonymous credentials. The actual name of the account is NT AUTHORITY\LocalService, and it does not have a password that an administrator needs to manage.
The Network Service account is a service that runs as the Network Service account accesses network resources using the credentials of the computer account in the same manner as a Local System service does. The actual name of the account is NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService, and it does not have a password that an administrator needs to manage.
System has extensive privileges on your local machine i.e. access registry, etc,  where Network Service has limited privileges on your local machine.
In the Collations tab, you can specify the collation for Database Engine and Analysis Services or else you can leave the default values as per the operating system. Click Next to continue with the installation screen.
Database Engine Configuration step, DBA can define authentication mode, password for sa account, SQL Server administrators on Server Configuration tab.

In Data Directories tab, it is possible to place Data root directory to another folder.
You can also define data and log directories as well as default backup directory on this screen.
I keep them unchanged since this is my development server.

If your requirement for storing BLOBs loke TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE data types into SQL Server.
Then you must enable it.
FILESTREAM support is not enabled by default. It can be enabled during the installation process or to can be enabled after the installation using SSCM.
Under “FILESTREAM”, select to enable the Filestream for Transact-SQL and file I/O access.

The Analysis Services Configuration allows installing a Multidimensional and Data Mining Mode. Analysis Services is an analytical data engine used in decision support and business analytics.
The SQL Server Reporting Services allows you to produce formatted reports with tables in the form of data, graph, images, and charts. These reports are hosted on a server which can be executed any time using parameters defined by the users.
SQL Server Error Reporting: It will send reports automatically to Microsoft. Make your selection and click Next
Installation Configuration Rules is again a step where setup program checks if any thing prevents configuration of selected options.
In this screen, DBAs can make their last check on SQL Server installation configuration.
If you are ready to start, press Install button.
In this step Configuration.ini file is generated. Default path of conifguration file is in log folder.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\1XX\SetupBootstrap\Log\20180430_153855\ConfigurationFile.ini
